The Magic Flute Like Never Before | Argos
Now on all platforms : https://song.link/argosmozart Help us bring this project to life : https://www.ulule.com/duoargos/ How can a three-hour Mozart opera be condensed into just seven minutes of music? Argos presents a fantasia on the main themes of The Magic Flute, infused with nods and winks in a spirit and playfulness that are typically Mozartian. Throughout this narrative journey, quotes from other masterpieces of the Viennese genius are integrated, including Eine kleine Nachtmusik, the Piano Sonata in C Minor KV457, Le Nozze Di Figaro, and the Requiem. Conceived as a cohesive collage of interrelated themes, this fantasia calls for the performers’ ingenuity and an expanded palette of playing techniques. Sound effects, percussions, and even whistling are employed to transport the listener into a miniature operatic machine. "La Flûte enchantée de Poche", arrangement by Julien Beautemps Video by Studio Chroma. It spoke out against slavery and the situation of women in Brazil. During the dictatorship in Portugal, the song was banned because of censorship and later changed into "Barco Negro", with new lyrics by David Mourão-Ferreira about a tragic love story. The song became famous thanks to the voice of Amália Rodrigues, the soul of fado. Prece - Tiago Almeida & Lorenzo Reggiani (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
"Prece", composed by Alain Oulman and arranged for two guitars by Tiago Almeida. Listen to the album "Rivages" now on all streaming platforms. https://fanlink.tv/rivages Performed by Tiago Almeida and Lorenzo Reggiani. Recorded at Studio Chroma (France). Mixing and mastering by Gabriel Dubois. Label : Segell Microscopi. « Prece » is a fado composed by Alain Oulman in 1990 on a poem by Pedro Homem de Mello. It’s a prayer that expresses a profound longing to return to the homeland, Portugal. It’s a longing for connection and belonging. It speaks of roots, identity, and the invisible threads that pull us home. « Working on the arrangement of this piece made me also reflect on what « roots » really mean to me and the importance of recognizing and embracing the complexity of the roots we carry. Not just where we come from, but everything that shapes who we are (inherited, chosen, lived). For those who have emigrated, who are children of immigrants like me, this can often be a challenge. We grow up between cultures, between languages and there is a profound strength in that in-between space. And it deserves to be seen, respected, and valued. These encounters of heritage are not contradictions, they are richness. And not only for those who live them, but also for the places and the cultures that welcome them. When we allow all of it to exist fully, I believe a bigger space opens up, for everyone. » - Tiago Almeida Follow Tiago Almeida : Instagram: @tiago__almeida TikTok: @tiago_almeida_music Site: https://www.tiagoalmeidamusic.com/

Sotiris Athanasiou plays Hermes and Dionysos by Benoit Mussard | Siccas Media
Sotiris Athanasiou plays Hermes and Dionysos by Benoit Mussard as part of our Siccas Media program (https://www.siccasmedia.com/). Find your dream classical guitar on https://www.siccasguitars.com 😊 https://album.link/kithara https://linktr.ee/sotiris.guitar Sotiris, praised for his exceptional palette of colors and remarkable technique, explores a vast repertoire, from the 17th century to contemporary music. In his quest to expand the horizons of the guitar, he has collaborated with many composers. His solo career began at the age of 10, with his first recital. Today, he performs throughout Europe and Asia, both as a soloist and chamber musician. He collaborates with the leading orchestras of his native Greece and has been invited to perform on France Musique, Arte, and Greek National Television (ERT). In 2024, he made his debut at the Philharmonie de Paris, performing the Guitar Concerto by Henri Tomasi, accompanied by the Paris Mozart Orchestra for La Maestra. His musical journey began under the guidance of his father, his first teacher. After studying at the Conservatory of Macedonia (Greece) with Fotis Baxes, he continued his training in Bordeaux (France) with Olivier Chassain, then in Seville (Spain) with Francisco Bernier. At the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP), he earned five prizes with the highest honors, studying under Olivier Chassain, Tristan Manoukian, Michel Michalakakos, Philippe Bernold, and François Salque. He also received guidance from Judicaël Perroy to refine his artistic path. Benoit Mussard : The word “guitar” comes from the Greek kithara, a type of lyre said to have been crafted by the god Hermes and played by Apollo. Yet, the guitar is not solely an instrument of gods and muses; it is also the instrument of the people—ever-present, a companion of travelers, inseparable from the music and cultures of centuries-old traditions. Kithara is more than just an album; it is a musical journey, a new Odyssey. This project brings together creators from around the world, each inspired by the enduring themes of ancient Greece. Their music intertwines distinct cultural identities with the universal heritage of classical Greece. TWO PIECES - Guilherme de Almeida | Sotiris Athanasiou
"KITHARA" FULL ALBUM https://album.link/kithara Two Pieces for solo guitar by Guilherme de Almeida written for the "Kithara" album. 0:00 I. Prayer to Apollo 1:38 Feast of Bacchus Guilherme on his composition: Prayer, celebration, deities, landscapes, Greece, Brazil… In essence, images that form a multicultural tableau. The deeper meaning of each element is translated into sound, not through the human voice or that of animals, but through the strings of a guitar. Composing this piece was both a true challenge and a source of great enthusiasm: I mapped out what I knew of both countries. By identifying their commonalities, I was able to decipher their unique features, which gave birth to new modes, agogics, forms, and, to my great surprise, melodies. The vast art of organizing sound corresponds, in my view, especially in this piece, to the quest and embodiment of devotion, faith, friendship, and most importantly: love.
Hello friend ! The music you are listening is a cover of great Maestro Angelo Branduardi played by myself. It’s a fantastic song that touched me a lot when I was in my early age, the poem was adapted in Italian from « Исповедь хулигана » of Sergueï Essenine.

Alice and Maja quickly forged a strong friendship and discovered that they shared a very similar artistic sensibility. After only a few months of existence, the duo had the pleasure of participating in a tribute project to composers linked to the city of Geneva, organized by the "Les Jeudis de la Guitare" concert series. This fruitful collaboration led to the duo playing the following season as "headliners" at this prestigious festival. Since then, they have continued to give concerts in Switzerland and Europe, as well as taking part in competitions where they have won prizes. In 2024, they became Knobloch Strings Artists, initiating a partnership with the brand. The duo's current repertoire includes several of their own transcriptions and original works by Alberto Ginastera, Stephan Elmas, Emile Jaques Dalcroze and Radamés Gnatalli. Their vision is to continue expressing their musical sensibility through the performance of original guitar repertoire and transcriptions.
